The Eco-Rangers are a team of dedicated students who have an interest in caring for and beautifying our school grounds.

Formed in 2012, the group meet once per week and aim to rejuvenate the school’s many garden spaces which may be in need of some attention.

Together the students plan, weed, cultivate, plant, mulch and maintain the spaces, making the school grounds more attractive and learning about horticulture.

Sutton Primary students also maintain several large vegetable gardens throughout the year, and the students sell their produce at regular in-school vegetable markets, with all proceeds being reinvested back into the school gardens.

Additionally, the students operate a tumbling compost bin, food waste composter, two worm farms and greenhouse to assist in their efforts.
