Students everywhere love to study and find out about the world around them and what better way to capture that interest than to study a foreign language.

In Semester 2, 2016, students 2-6 participate in weekly Japanese lessons with Mrs Robertson. Students are not only exposed to the language but learn about Japanese culture.

Studying a language not only develops tolerance for people of different backgrounds to our own, but importantly it has been shown to assist in developing the structure and grammar of a child’s native language.

At Sutton, we hope that these lessons in Japanese will interest the students in language and culture and develop an awareness of the world around them.
